BCSC's Robotics League kicks off with a successful inaugural competition
Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. (BCSC) has taken a major step forward in promoting STEM education by launching its new robotics league. The league, which recently held its first competition at Northside Middle School, saw enthusiastic participation from 25 VEX IQ Robotics teams comprising 156 students from BCSC elementary and middle schools. The event showcased the dedication of teachers, coaches, and students, all working together to foster a love for robotics and engineering.
A Thrilling Game: “Full Volume”
This year's VEX IQ Robotics Competition game, aptly named “Full Volume,” challenged students to showcase their skills in a fast-paced and strategic environment. The game required teams to score points by maneuvering blocks of various sizes into goals and parking their robots in the designated “Supply Zone” at the end of each match. With its emphasis on teamwork and autonomous coding skills, the game provided students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge and think like engineers.
